Dubai, Aug 12: A special meeting of the UAE overseas branch of the Jayashree Krishna Parisara Premi Samiti, an NGO working towards environmental conservation, development, promotion of industries, employment generation and poverty alleviation in the coastal region of Karnataka, will be held in Dubai on Thursday, August 13.
The meeting will be held at Fortune Atrium Hotel on Khalid Bin Al Waleed Road in Bur Dubai.
The meeting will be presided over by Tonse Jayakrishna A Shetty, founder of the Jayashree Krishna Parisara Premi Samiti. Discussions will be held on the Samiti’s future action plans and social initiatives to be undertaken in the Gulf countries.


The programme of the Samiti’s Gulf branch will be attended by NRI and Institute of Directors (India-Global) Distinguished Fellow Dr Ronald Colaco, renowned entrepreneur and Padma Shri awardee Dr B R Shetty, Fortune Group of Hotels Dubai chairman Praveen Kumar Shetty, and Vishwa Devadiga Mahamandala president Dharmapala U Devadiga as chief guests.
The organisers have appealed to all coastal people and Tulu and Kannada-speaking people residing in Dubai and surrounding areas to attend the meeting.
The appeal has been made on behalf of the Jayashree Krishna Parisara Premi Samiti by its UAE vice-president Dr David Frank Fernandes, UAE coordinator Sarvottam Shetty of Abu Dhabi, honorary president Padma Vibhushan Dr B M Hegde, president Nityananda D Kotian, district working president Harish Kumar M Shetty, honorary general secretary Mundoor Surendra Salian, honorary treasurer Sadananda N Acharya, state coordinator K P Jagadish Adhikari, Samiti spokesperson Dayasagar Chouta, district committee honorary secretaries G T Acharya and Surendra Mendon, treasurer Prabhakar Bangera of Karkala, along with advisers, former presidents, vice-presidents, secretaries, office-bearers and all members of the district committee.
