Kasargod, Aug 12: In a heart-wrenching turn of events, a young banker ended her life in Karnataka while reportedly on a video call, only for her grief-stricken fiancé to be found dead in Kerala hours after receiving the devastating news.

The victims have been identified as P Anushree (25), hailing from Poochakad near Kasargod, and her fiancé V Amal (27), a resident of Ambalathattu in Kannur. Both were employees of the State Bank of India (SBI), with Anushree posted at the Hunsur branch in Mysuru district, Karnataka, while Amal was stationed at an SBI branch in Ernakulam, Kerala.

The couple was engaged to be married, with their wedding ceremony scheduled for December 26 next year.

The fatal chain of events unfolded on Tuesday night when Anushree reportedly ended her life at her rented residence in Hunsur whilst on a video call. Upon learning of her sudden death, Amal was shattered and subsequently took his own life at a hotel near the Ernakulam North railway station in Kerala.

The precise trigger behind the double tragedy remains shrouded in mystery.

Law enforcement officials from both the Hunsur and Kerala police departments have registered formal cases and launched parallel investigations to ascertain the exact circumstances leading to the deaths.

Many comment here saying, couple did not remember their parents before committing suicide or what? Now a days, children's behaviour/attitudes are completely changed. Children think since parents have given birth, according how they wish, it's totally parents responsibility to provide what they need ! Yes, parents should look after their children/raise them/educate them and see to that ..they should stand up on their own feet once education gets completed...If it's difficult to impart on higher lavel, politely but sternly ask them to work and earn money for higher studies after graduation. Parents should not fund them money selling property/assets/taking loans to start business, just after on completion of graduation or PG. Venturing into business is not easy, however educated he is! It may Go well with the ancestral business or family members are into it... Simply listening to friends and try to float, drowning is guarantee with loads of loan overhead, which leads to commit suicide. Once children are educated, parents (from the beginning itself) should invest time in themselves/they should know to take care of themselves/they should try how to remain deceaseless. Every nut bolt, screws of their bodies should be greased by having proper diet/exercises/indulging in house activities and focussing on other so many good things! Our parents cook food for one day and continue to eat that 4/5 days. Lazy to go to kitchen and sit for hours and hours in front of TV/MOBILES, eating junk food causing nutbolt to get rusted. Don't look forward to children in your sickness/in your old age. They will not come. That's why so many ashrams are growing like mushrooms everywhere. Children take utmost help from the parents and send them to ashrams just listening to their female spouses especially.Try to input good qualities/humanity/moral and spiritual values when they are infants only and shape them into a good human. Once they matured not easy to bend. Once they understand their responsibilities leave them. Don't interfere. Whatever, it's left to them. Now a days, children don't like the interference of parents in any way! Don't depend but be self reliable retaining respect. Visiting sometimes is more than enough if they need to ! Parents don't be selfish! After spending so much, look at our youngsters what they do ! Just ending life ! So leave too much love and utmost possession and control them by playing victim cards

What is the use of education & employment in reputed organisation if people do like this? Is it a failure of the education system? There should be a seperate subject from class 1 till higher studies on how to handle the failures, challenges, stress, emotions in life.
