Bengaluru, Aug 13: Obscene videos and clippings of obscene photographs of young women from newspapers were reportedly found in the mobile phone recovered from former MP Prajwal Revanna’s cell at Parappana Agrahara Central Prison.

The discovery was made during a CCB police inspection conducted following reports of illegal activities inside the prison. The contents found in the mobile phone have now emerged as a key detail from the inspection.

During questioning, Prajwal reportedly told officials that the pocket notebook found in his cell belonged to him. Undertrial prisoner Pratap Rai, meanwhile, claimed that the mobile phone, charger and pen drive belonged to him and said that he had been using the phone to contact his relatives and lawyer.

Following the inquiry, CCB police registered an FIR against undertrial prisoner Pratap Rai at the Parappana Agrahara police station.

Prajwal was subsequently shifted from the VIP cell to the general cell.
