Mangaluru, Aug 13: The Institute of Management and Commerce, department of BBA, Srinivas University, added another feather to its cap by securing first prize in the dance competition at the prestigious "Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat" Dakshina Kannada district-level competition held on August 1 at Sri Ramakrishna College, Mangaluru.
The event was jointly organised by the Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, MY Bharat Dakshina Kannada, Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports, Dakshina Kannada, National Service Scheme (NSS), Mangalore University, and Sri Ramakrishna College, Mangaluru. The competition aimed to inspire youth to actively promote the vision of a drug-free youth for a developed India (Viksit Bharat) through creative and cultural expressions.





The BBA students showcased exceptional talent, creativity, coordination, and social awareness through their award-winning dance performance, earning the top honour at the district level. Their achievement reflects the institution's commitment to nurturing socially responsible, talented, and confident young leaders.
The success of the students was made possible under the dedicated guidance of Prof Usha and Prof Ramitha B M, NSS programme officer, department of BBA, whose leadership and encouragement played a significant role in preparing the team for the competition.
The institution also acknowledged the unwavering support of dean Dr Venkatesh S Amin and head of the department Prof Shilpa K, whose constant motivation and encouragement contributed to the team's outstanding performance. Appreciation was extended to all the NSS volunteers for their dedication, enthusiasm, and excellent teamwork in making the event a grand success.
