Hyderabad, Aug 14: Electric mobility company Olectra Greentech Limited has reported a strong financial performance for the first quarter of FY27, supported by higher electric vehicle deliveries, steady customer demand and continued execution of its existing order pipeline.

The company recorded a 66% year-on-year increase in revenue to Rs 575.5 crore during the quarter, while EBITDA rose 30% to Rs 72.9 crore compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.

Olectra delivered 358 electric vehicles during the quarter, marking a 122% year-on-year increase. With this, the company’s cumulative electric vehicle deliveries crossed 4,000 as of June 30, 2026.

The company said demand for electric buses remains strong across State Transport Undertakings and public transportation networks. Olectra is continuing to focus on executing its existing order pipeline while strengthening its manufacturing and operational capabilities.

It is also investing in manufacturing capacity, technology, localisation and new platforms to support the growing requirements of India’s electric public transportation sector.

Olectra Managing Director Mahesh Babu said the company had started FY27 on a strong note, with revenue and EBITDA recording healthy year-on-year growth.

He said the delivery of 358 vehicles during the quarter and cumulative deliveries crossing 4,000 reflected the continued momentum in the company’s electric mobility business.

The company also navigated challenges during the quarter, including global foreign exchange volatility and supply chain issues, while maintaining its focus on execution and operational efficiency.

Olectra said it remains committed to scaling its electric mobility operations responsibly and providing reliable solutions for customers as India moves towards cleaner and smarter public transportation.

Headquartered in Hyderabad, Olectra manufactures electric buses and electric tippers and operates across India’s urban and intercity public transport segment.

The company said it has more than 4,000 electric vehicles deployed across the country, while its order book exceeds 8,500 vehicles. Its electric fleet has also clocked more than 740 million green kilometres.

With continued investments in technology, manufacturing capacity and execution capabilities, Olectra said it aims to strengthen its position in India’s expanding electric mobility ecosystem and support the country’s transition towards cleaner, smarter and zero-emission transportation.
