Mangaluru, Aug 14: The Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University, organized a vibrant lantern making contest on August 11 as part of its cultural forum activities, providing students with an opportunity to showcase their creativity, teamwork, and artistic talent. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from 89 teams comprising 178 students from the BBA aviation management and BBA aviation & logistics management programmes.
The contest transformed the campus into a colourful and lively creative space as students designed and crafted a wide variety of decorative lanterns using innovative materials, artistic techniques, and unique themes. The participants demonstrated remarkable imagination, coordination, and craftsmanship, with each team presenting lanterns that reflected originality, and attention to detail. The event encouraged collaborative learning and healthy competition while fostering cultural appreciation and creative expression among the students. Faculty members and judges appreciated the students for their innovative ideas, effective teamwork, and dedication displayed throughout the competition.





The event was successfully organized under the guidance and support of the Dr Pavithra Kumari, dean, Institute of Aviation Studies, Srinivas University, SWO, HODs, cultural coordinators, faculty members, student coordinators and staff members. Their encouragement and coordination ensured the smooth execution of the event.
