Mangaluru, Aug 20: The face painting competition was organized by the Srinivas University, Institute of Port, Shipping and Logistics Management under the Cultural Forum, with the theme ‘Indian Culture’ recently. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from nine teams, who creatively portrayed various aspects of Indian culture through face painting.

The event was graced by Prof Priyanka Prabhu, department of interior design, Institute of Hotel Management and Tourism, and Dr Jeetha, department of BSc Animation, Institute of Hotel Management and Tourism as guests and judges.

Based on the judging criteria and overall performance, the winners were:

1st place: Preethesh Desouza & Yashwith – I year C
2nd place: Anwesh Raj & Sohan – I year C
3rd place: Namruth & Vignesh – I year C

The competition provided students with an opportunity to showcase their creativity, teamwork, and appreciation of Indian culture and traditions. The event was conducted successfully with active participation and enthusiasm from all the teams.
