Mumbai, Aug 22: Ektaa R. Kapoor is set to bring her next big-screen horror-comedy, Hero Ki Horrorine, to theatres on January 7, 2027.

A Jai Ho Media Ventures production, the film is presented by Balaji Telefilms Ltd and produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R. Kapoor and Amar Butala. Sajid Khan has directed the film.

Known for producing stories across genres, Ektaa R. Kapoor has also established a strong association with horror-comedy, blending supernatural elements with humour, romance and entertainment.

The production house’s Bhooth Bangla, released earlier this year, was a hit. With Hero Ki Horrorine, the makers are returning to the genre with a fresh theatrical entertainer that combines horror and comedy.

Producer Amar Butala, who has been associated with several box-office successes including Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Kesari, as well as the critically acclaimed Mission Majnu, has joined hands with Ektaa R. Kapoor for the project.

Directed by Sajid Khan, Hero Ki Horrorine features an ensemble cast including Yashvrdhn Ahuja, Nitanshi Goel, Sunita Ahuja, Jamie Lever, Chunky Panday, Brijendra Kala and Simrat Kaur Randhawa.

The film presents a comic take on the supernatural while combining elements of horror, romance and humour.

For Yashvrdhn Ahuja, the film marks his debut as a leading actor in Hindi cinema. He will be paired with Nitanshi Goel, who plays the female lead.

The film brings together established performers and young talent, adding to its mix of comedy and horror.

Hero Ki Horrorine is produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R. Kapoor and Amar Butala under the Jai Ho Media Ventures banner and presented by Balaji Telefilms Ltd.

The film is directed by Sajid Khan and will release in cinemas on January 7, 2027.
