Mangaluru, Aug 22: Snehalaya celebrated the spirit of Onam with great enthusiasm and togetherness on August 22, bringing staff and residents together for a day filled with joy, warmth, and festive cheer.

The celebrations began with a formal programme. Manya, psychiatric social worker, warmly welcomed everyone to the gathering. Br Joseph Crasta, founder and director; Olivia Crasta, co-founder; and Clint Joseph, head of the clinical department, shared meaningful Onam messages and extended their heartfelt wishes to all.

The programme was graced by the presence of administrator - Veena D’Souza and Saritha Crasta - trustee, Jovial Crasta - trustee, Fr Cyril D’Souza, chaplain of Snehalaya, and Lavita D’Souza, institutional in-charge. Jesvin counsellor proposed the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to making the celebration special.

Following the formal programme, the festive spirit continued with a variety of fun-filled games and activities that brought smiles and laughter to everyone. Staff members and residents enthusiastically participated, making the occasion lively and memorable.

The celebrations concluded with a delicious and traditional Onam Sadya, enjoyed together by the staff and residents of Snehalaya. The shared meal added a beautiful touch of togetherness and reflected the true essence of Onam celebrating unity, happiness, gratitude, and the joy of being together.
