Mumbai, Aug 24: Bollywood actors Aditya Seal and Anushka Ranjan have welcomed twin baby girls, Vira Ranjan Seal and Mahi Ranjan Seal, the couple announced on social media.
The couple shared the news on Instagram on Sunday, August 23, revealing that their daughters were born on the same day.
“We are very excited to share the news! Our hearts are full as we welcome our baby girls, Vira Ranjan Seal and Mahi Ranjan Seal, born on 23.08.2026,” they wrote in their announcement.
Aditya and Anushka also expressed their joy in a separate message, describing their daughters as their “sunshines” and saying their hearts were filled with love and gratitude.
The couple tied the knot in Mumbai on November 21, 2021, after dating for around four years. They first met in 2017 at a charity fashion show organised by Anushka's mother and later began a relationship.
Aditya proposed to Anushka during a vacation in Paris in October 2019. Their wedding was attended by several Bollywood personalities, including Alia Bhatt, Vaani Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, Athiya Shetty and Rhea Chakraborty.
For their wedding, Anushka wore a lilac bridal lehenga while Aditya opted for a cream-toned sherwani, with both outfits designed by fashion designer Manish Malhotra.
The couple had announced their pregnancy on May 29, 2026, sharing a series of maternity photographs on Instagram and revealing that they were expecting their first children together.
Before becoming parents, Anushka had also spoken openly about her IVF journey and the physical and emotional challenges she experienced while trying to start a family.
In June, she revealed that she underwent around 150 injections during the IVF process. She said she initially struggled to accept IVF and associated the treatment with something being wrong with her, before realising the importance of removing the stigma surrounding fertility treatment.
Anushka credited Aditya and her family for supporting her throughout the difficult process.
Nearly five years after their wedding, Aditya and Anushka have now entered parenthood with the arrival of their twin daughters.
With Vira and Mahi, the couple has begun a new chapter in their lives, sharing their happiness with fans who have followed their journey from their relationship and wedding to the birth of their daughters.
