Prayagraj, Aug 26: Shares of hospital chain Park Medi World Ltd gained on Wednesday after the company announced that it had secured a mandate under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model to develop and operate a 550-bed multi-super-speciality hospital in Prayagraj district of Uttar Pradesh.
The construction of the hospital is required to be completed within two years from the appointed date. According to the company’s exchange filing, the additional bed capacity will cater to the healthcare needs of people living in and around the Prayagraj region.

The project has an estimated cost of around Rs 200 crore and will be financed through internal accruals. The investment will receive a Rs 76.52-crore concession from the state government.
The hospital will be developed on a 3.22-acre site allotted by the Municipal Corporation. The company will also have an option to secure an additional 2.47 acres from the fifth year following the Commercial Operations Date (COD), allowing scope for future expansion.
Once completed, the facility is expected to become the largest private healthcare facility in Prayagraj.
The Prayagraj hospital will be the third core unit of Park Group in Uttar Pradesh. The group already operates a 360-bed facility in Agra and is developing a 400-bed hospital in Gorakhpur. With the addition of the Prayagraj facility, its total bed capacity in the state will reach 1,260 beds.
Share price
Park Medi World shares opened at Rs 284.05 on Wednesday, compared with the previous close of Rs 283.85. The stock subsequently climbed to an intraday high of Rs 291.40, gaining Rs 7.55 or 2.65 per cent.
At the time of reporting, the stock was trading at Rs 287.90, while the company’s market capitalisation stood at around Rs 12,435.29 crore.
Share performance
According to BSE data, Park Medi World shares have gained 92.25 per cent year-to-date, while the benchmark index has declined 8.85 per cent during the same period.
The stock has delivered a return of around 50 per cent over the past six months.
The counter recorded its 52-week high of Rs 305.25 on July 1, 2026, while its 52-week low of Rs 138.15 was recorded on December 18, 2025.
