Mangaluru, Aug 28: A one-day training programme on 'Leadership in Local Governance' was organized on August 25 at Mother Teresa Hall, CODP Mangaluru, under the Women Empowerment Project in collaboration with CODP Mangaluru and CROSS, Bengaluru.
Durgadas Shetty was the resource person for the training. He elaborated on the role of women in local governance, leadership skills, and the Panchayat Raj system.
Representatives from CODP promoted Sangha, Mahasangha and Federation actively participated in the training.
Fr Vincent D'Souza, director of CODP, presided over the programme. Jayashree, president of Samruddhi District Women Federation, Mangaluru, Supriya M A, project coordinator, and staff of CODP were present.
