Mangaluru: Man held after evading court for eight years

Mangaluru, Aug 29: The City East police have apprehended a man who had been absconding for the past eight years without appearing before the court.

The accused has been identified as Muaz (45), a resident of Hilarinagar near Mukkacheri. According to police, he had been residing in Irikkur, Kerala.

A case had been registered against Muaz at the Mangaluru East police station. He had failed to appear before the court and remained absconding. Following this, the court had issued an LPC warrant against him.

Mangaluru East police arrested him and produced him before the court.
