Mangaluru, Aug 29: The Apostolic Carmel Educational Society, Karnataka Province, organised a felicitation programme to honour its retired staff members in appreciation of their dedicated and selfless service to the institution and its mission. Thirteen retired staff members were felicitated for their valuable contribution and years of committed service.
The programme commenced with a prayer service led by the staff and students of St Ann’s Higher Primary School, seeking god’s blessings on the gathering.
Sr Sudeepa, secretary of the Apostolic Carmel Educational Society, extended a warm welcome to the gathering. She expressed gratitude to the retired staff members for their dedicated years of service and acknowledged the significant role they played in shaping the lives of generations of students.
The felicitation ceremony was conducted by Sr Maria Naveena AC, provincial superior, and Sr Sudeepa, education secretary. The retired staff members were honoured with tokens of appreciation in recognition of their commitment, perseverance and invaluable contribution to the Apostolic Carmel educational institutions.
Representing the retired staff, Dr Ita Muriel D’Souza expressed her gratitude and shared her reflections on the years of service, recalling the meaningful experiences and cherished memories associated with the Apostolic Carmel educational mission.
The programme was compered by Srs Meena Fernandes and Lavi Shanthi, who guided the proceedings with grace and warmth. Sr Pushpa Pinto proposed the vote of thanks, expressing appreciation to all those who contributed to the success of the programme.
The gathering concluded on a joyful note with a fellowship meal, providing an opportunity for the retired staff, sisters and members of the educational community to come together, reconnect and celebrate the years of service and friendship.
