Mangaluru: Woman pedestrian injured after bus runs over leg near Urwa Market

Mangaluru, Aug 31: A woman pedestrian sustained grievous injuries after a bus ran over her leg near Urwa Market Junction on Monday morning.

The incident occurred at around 8.30 am when the woman was crossing the road to catch Bus No. 31.

The driver of a bus bearing registration number KA 19 D 3657 allegedly moved the bus in a negligent manner. As a result, the right front wheel of the bus ran over the pedestrian's leg, causing grievous injuries.

The injured woman was shifted to AJ Hospital for treatment.

Police said that a case is being registered in connection with the incident, and further legal procedures will follow.
