Udupi, Sep 7: A newborn baby was found abandoned by the roadside at Hoode, within the limits of Malpe police station, on Monday September 7.

The baby boy, who appeared to have been born only a short while earlier, was found on a footpath leading to a house. Local residents noticed the baby and immediately rushed him to a hospital. Doctors examined the infant and detected a heartbeat. The baby was subsequently shifted to a hospital in Udupi for further treatment.

Malpe police arrived at the spot and conducted an inspection. Police are examining CCTV footage from the surrounding areas to gather information about the person or persons who abandoned the baby.

    Cant believe.A fresh born child to dispose at road side.Heartless person.Hope the bay will reach a good house who cares and rings up normal.I fear it was born to a not married ,illegal person ?Or didnt keep up promise of marrying? One thing atleast should say she /he didnt kill it.God bless the child and keep it healthy.

    Responsible disciplined adults never wants their offsprings to be orphans and abandoned if they care for their own blood and lineage. So they never indulge in irresponsible activities however compelling they feel the urges into it. May the Almighty care and protect the little angel.

This baby needs immediate medical care, protection and a safe future. Authorities must act now, investigate thoroughly, and hold those responsible accountable.
