Army Chief 'Outraged' at Letter to PM Being Leaked

New Delhi, Mar 29 (IANS): An "outraged" army chief General V.K. Singh Thursday rejected allegations of having leaked a letter written by him to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh about the shortage of arms and ammunition in the forces.

A statement by the army chief Thursday morning said he was "outraged" that the letter had been leaked. He said the leak should be treated as a "high treason" and added that the source of the leak should be found and punished.

    If the Army Chief's date of birth, as revised by him, was approved by the Defense Ministry these kind of letters written by him directly to the Prime Minister would not have leaked at all. He himself is responsible for the leaks. It proves that he is a disabled person on the basis of emotional instability. Political leaders, with an exception of one particular political party, are absolutely right in saying that 'this General must be sacked immediately and imprisoned for leaking nationals secrets'. If there is shortage of ammunition it is his duty as Army Commander to sort it out along with the defense ministry before writing to the Prime Minister.

    Corrupt Govt.....all set to degrade the nation in whatever way possible. Instead of probing on the issue of bribe, they criticise Army Chief for pointing out the corruption. They are ready to sell the nation too.
