St. John's (Antigua), Mar 29 (IANS/CMC): Antiguan Verlyn Faustin has been appointed Corporate Secretary of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB), a move president Julian Hunte says will strengthen the operations of the organisation.
Faustin is a former general manager of local financial conglomerate, ABI Trust Ltd, and fills the post left vacant last year by Stephen Camacho.
"We are extremely delighted that Ms. Faustin has joined the WICB. She is exceptionally qualified and an exemplary professional with a broad range of experience," said Hunte.
"I have no doubt that she will aid in significantly enhancing the operations of the Board as we strive to improve the governance and management of cricket in the region."
Faustin holds two Masters degrees in Law - one in Banking and Financial Law from Boston University School of Law and the other in Corporate and Commercial Law from UWI Cave Hill Campus.
She is also a former Legal Officer and Registrar of International Exempt Trusts of the Financial Services Regulatory Commission in Antigua.
"I am honoured to join the team at the WICB and will use my abilities and experience to further the governance and overall management of West Indies cricket," Faustin said.
