Mangaluru, Sep 12: Carmel Central School, Kotekar celebrated Hindi Diwas on September 11 with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The programme aimed to promote the importance of Hindi language and create awareness among students about its rich linguistic and cultural heritage.

The programme began with a prayer, followed by a graceful welcome dance and a warm welcome speech. The significance of Hindi Diwas was presented to highlight the importance of Hindi as a language of communication, literature and cultural unity.

The students presented two vibrant Hindi dances, showcasing the beauty of Hindi music and Indian culture. This was followed by an engaging Hindi skit, which conveyed a meaningful message through the students' creative performance.

The chief guest, Shruti S Bhat HOD of Hindi department, Sharada Vidyalaya, Mangaluru, addressed the gathering and shared valuable thoughts on the importance of learning and preserving the Hindi language. The programme also included prize distribution for the monthly compilation, appreciating and encouraging the achievements of the students.

The celebration concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the chief guest, principal, teachers and students for their valuable contribution towards making the programme a memorable one.

The celebration was an enriching and enjoyable experience that encouraged students to appreciate the Hindi language and its cultural significance.
