Mangaluru, Sep 16: Students’ Day was celebrated with gaiety and fervour at St Agnes PU College on September 15. The programme commenced with a prayer song by the staff, lovingly invoking the blessings of the Lord on all the young minds. Thereafter, Supriya Shenoy, dean of the science stream and lecturer in physics, in her address commended the students for all the energy and vitality they bring to the classroom. She reminded them that college life comes with its own set of challenges and encouraged them to cherish the friendships they forge and the memories they create, as these will sustain them for a lifetime.

This was followed by theme-based class performances, where the students displayed their creativity, enthusiasm, and class spirit. The spot games added to the excitement and kept the spirits soaring. A spectacular special talent shows then took centre stage, providing a delightful showcase of the diverse talents within the college community.

The occasion also witnessed students being felicitated with prizes for their vivacious performances in various competitions conducted in the college, which earned them plaudits and acclaim. The prizes were distributed by the PTA vice president, Vinutha D’Souza.

In the afternoon, the teachers took to the stage and delighted the students with a mesmerizing line-up of dances, skits and games. Their lively performances were met with cheers and applause, making the afternoon especially memorable.

The day concluded on a high note with a lively mass dance, as students and teachers came together in a marvelous display of joie de vivre.
