Karkala, Sep 17: Class 10 students Rithu Francis and Saanvi M Nayak of Christ King English Medium High School, Karkala, have been selected for the state-level wrestling competition after securing gold medals in the Udupi district-level girls’ wrestling tournament.
The tournament was organised under the aegis of the department of public instruction, Government of Karnataka, and hosted by Government Pre-University College, Kundapur.
Rithu Francis and Saanvi M Nayak emerged winners in their respective categories to clinch gold medals and earn qualification for the state-level competition.
Meanwhile, class 8 student Sadhvi M Nayak won a silver medal, while Afraz secured a bronze medal in their respective categories.
The school congratulated all the students for their achievements and wished the state-level qualifiers success in the upcoming competition.
