Bengaluru, Sep 20: The Karnataka Department of School Education and Literacy has increased the examination fees for II PUC courses by 50%, with the revised rates applicable from the ongoing academic year and for the March/April 2027 final examinations.

As per an order issued by the department, the examination fee for fresh and private candidates has been increased to Rs 600 from the existing Rs 400.

The department said the fees were revised after nearly eight years, with the previous revision having been made in 2018.

The fine for payment of examination fees after the deadline has also been increased. For instance, candidates paying the II PUC examination fee with a delay of 10 days will have to pay Rs 750, while the special fine has been fixed at Rs 1,980.

The department has also increased fees by 50% for various examination-related services, including issuance and verification of marks cards.

While there was no fixed fee earlier for marks card verification, the revised fee for verification of marks cards for DGCA and foreign universities has now been fixed at Rs 2,000.
