Mangaluru, Sep 21: Dr Inamul Hasan Madar of Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), has been conferred the Kalam Medal of Excellence in Translational Innovation at the NEXT GENE Bioscience Summit 2026 held in New Delhi on September 19.
The award was presented by noted cardiac surgeon and healthcare innovator Dr Shriram Nene in recognition of Dr Madar’s contributions to precision medicine, multi-omics, cancer research and translational healthcare.
His research integrates genomics, proteomics, bioinformatics and artificial intelligence for biomarker discovery and personalised medicine, with a focus on translating advances in biomedical science into practical healthcare applications.
Dr Madar has a strong record of scientific publications and patents and continues to work in biomedical research aimed at developing innovative approaches to diagnosis and personalised treatment.
