Mumbai, Oct 2: Actress Kerry Washington jokingly revealed on social media that her co-star Ben Affleck would “do anything” for her, except promote their upcoming film *Animals* online.
Washington shared a humorous reel with Affleck on Instagram in which the actor-filmmaker tells her that he would do anything for her. However, when Washington asks him to make a TikTok video, Affleck hilariously gets up and walks away.
“Ben would do anything for me. Except go on social media and promote our new movie Animals. On @netflix October 9th. Maybe one day….” she wrote in the caption.
*Animals* is an upcoming American crime thriller directed by Affleck and written by Affleck, Connor O. McIntyre and Billy Ray. The film stars Affleck, Washington, Gillian Anderson and Adriana Paz, along with Luis Gerardo Méndez and Steven Yeun.
The film follows Mark Kimball, whose son is kidnapped, forcing him and his wife to arrange the ransom within a few hours. With most of their money already spent on his political campaign, they are forced to get their hands dirty and expose a side of their lives they never intended to reveal.
Washington has received several accolades, including a Primetime Emmy Award, along with nominations for two Golden Globe Awards and two Tony Awards. She was named the eighth-highest-paid television actress in 2018.
She gained widespread recognition for playing crisis management expert Olivia Pope in the drama series *Scandal*. She was later nominated for an Emmy for her performances in the political film *Confirmation* and the miniseries *Little Fires Everywhere*, in which she portrayed a troubled mother.
Washington made her feature film debut in the 2000 drama *Our Song*. She made her Broadway debut in David Mamet’s play *Race* in 2009.
Affleck’s honours include two Academy Awards, two BAFTA Awards and three Golden Globes. He began his acting career as a child in the PBS educational series *The Voyage of the Mimi*.
He later appeared in the independent comedy *Dazed and Confused* and several Kevin Smith comedies, including *Mallrats*, *Chasing Amy* and *Dogma*.
