Mumbai, Oct 4: Actor Swara Bhasker and political commentator Shehzad Poonawalla appear to be developing an unlikely friendship on Rise & Fall Season 2, with their recent fitness-related exchange drawing attention.

A recent video from the reality show showed Shehzad encouraging Swara to complete her walking rounds as part of her fitness routine. Swara, attempting to make the workout more entertaining, suggested they discuss politics or gossip instead.

Shehzad, however, remained focused on keeping her committed to the exercise, turning the exchange into an unexpected fitness-coach moment.

Swara later praised his efforts, saying, “Shehzad has taken a lot of interest in my health. I felt really good about it. Shehzad is very passionate about fitness.”

The actor also joked that Shehzad could have a successful career as a fitness coach. “I wonder how he got into politics; I feel he would make a really great fitness coach instead,” she said.

Their equation on the show has evolved despite their contrasting political views. Earlier, Shehzad had referred to Swara’s friends as the “Tukde” gang, while the two continued exchanging light-hearted comments.

In another conversation, Swara advised Shehzad to focus on proper nutrition instead of concentrating only on protein. Shehzad responded that he understood his own body and had dealt with stressful situations during his political career.

The two also joked about meeting after the show, with Swara teasing that she would lock Shehzad in a room with her left-leaning friends.

New episodes of Rise & Fall Season 2 stream on Amazon MX Player at noon.
