Jerusalem, Oct 6: Israeli forces on Tuesday raided several areas in the Bethlehem governorate of the occupied West Bank and searched a number of homes, according to the Palestinian news agency WAFA.

A security source told WAFA that Israeli forces entered the cities of Bethlehem, Beit Jala and Beit Sahour, as well as the areas of ad-Doha, al-Khader, Irtas, Jabal al-Mawaleh, Hindaza, Rakhma, Jannatah, Harmala and Rafidia.

The forces also raided several homes in Bethlehem, including properties belonging to members of the al-Ahmar family. No arrests were reported in the raids, according to the source.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces reportedly began demolishing a residential building in the al-Tur area of occupied East Jerusalem. Separately, an Israeli settler attack reportedly involved the burning of a house in Burqa in the Ramallah governorate.

Israeli military measures have also been tightened around Ramallah and al-Bireh in recent days, with checkpoints and road closures reported at several locations, disrupting the movement of Palestinians.

The developments come amid continuing Israeli military raids and settler attacks across the occupied West Bank.
