St Aloysius University to host 7th International Conference on Data Science, Computation & Security

Mangaluru, Oct 7: St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru, is set to host the 7th International Conference on Data Science, Computation & Security (IDScS 2026) on Friday, October 9. The inaugural ceremony will be held at 9:30 am at the LF R Hall, LCRI – VI Floor, on the university campus.

The international conference brings together academicians, researchers, industry professionals and experts to provide a platform for knowledge exchange and discussion in the rapidly evolving areas of data science, computation and security.

The inaugural ceremony will feature Prof Tad Gonsalves, professor, Sophia University, Japan, as the chief guest. He will be accompanied by his team Prof Ring Oh, Dr John Mukulu, Dr Hayato Yasuda and Kouki Maruyama adding an international dimension to the conference and provide valuable insights to the academic and research community.

The event will also be graced by Dr Kapil Tiwari, senior manager, Software Development, Amazon, and Dr Samiksha Shukla, dean and professor (CSE), Global Academy of Technology, Bengaluru, as guests of honour. Dr Praveen Martis, SJ, vice chancellor, St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru, will preside over the inaugural programme.

The conference is being convened by Dr Aarathi T and Devichandrika, School of Engineering, St Aloysius (Deemed to be University). The organising team comprises Dr S Ruban, dean, School of Engineering; Dr Geetha Pinto, associate dean, School of Engineering; and Dr Glenson Toney, assistant dean, School of Engineering along with Dr Ajay Misra, joint secretary, The Tejas Scientific Research Foundation, India and Dr D K Mishra, director and professor, Sybiosis University of Applied Sciences, Indore.

Fostering research and innovation

IDScS 2026 seeks to provide a meaningful forum for researchers, scholars, students and industry experts to share ideas, discuss emerging developments and explore opportunities for collaboration in data science, computational technologies and security.

With the acceptance rate of about 8%, 72 papers of the 957 research articles received from researchers and academicians have been selected for presentation in the conference. The accepted papers would be submitted to Scopus-indexed Springer Lecture Notes in networks and systems.

With the growing importance of data-driven technologies and secure digital systems across sectors, the conference aims to encourage interdisciplinary dialogue and promote research that can contribute to technological and societal advancement. The conference reflects St Aloysius (Deemed to be University)'s continued commitment to academic excellence, research, innovation and international collaboration, particularly in emerging areas of science and technology.
