Udupi, Oct 7: Vedanth Acharya, final year student of the department of civil engineering at Shri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM), has brought laurels to the institution by securing the gold medal in the VTU state-level intercollegiate wrestling competition 2026–27.
The competition was held at KLS Vishwanathrao Deshpande Institute of Technology, Haliyal, on October 5 and 6. Vedanth displayed outstanding sporting talent, determination, and skill to emerge victorious at the state-level competition.
The management, principal, and physical education director congratulated VedanthAcharya on his remarkable achievement and wished him continued success in his future endeavours.
