Bengaluru, Oct 7: The second death anniversary of renowned preacher the late Brother T K George was observed on October 7 at St Anthony’s Shrine, T C Palya, Bengaluru.
The commemoration of the late Brother T K George, a distinguished lay preacher (hails from St Thomas Latin Church, Davanagere, diocese of Shimoga) was marked by a solemn prayer service and Holy Eucharistic celebration at St Anthony’s Church, T C Palya. The event brought together members of the community to honor his legacy and pray for his eternal repose, concluding with a fellowship luncheon.
The memorial event began with a moving session of praise and worship led by Brother Vinod. This opening session established a prayerful and deeply reflective atmosphere for the congregation in attendance.































Fr Franklin D'Souza from the diocese of Shimoga delivered an impactful spiritual talk on ‘Spiritual Warfare.’ Centering his message on the biblical scripture Ephesians 6:10-18, he exhorted the faithful to put on the full armor of God to stand firm against spiritual adversities.
A solemn hour of Eucharistic adoration and healing prayers followed at 11 am. Brother Mahime Raj and Brother Abhishek led the praise and worship during this session, after which father Franklin D'Souza led the congregation in fervent prayers for healing and deliverance.
The apex of the remembrance was the holy sacrifice of the Mass. In his opening introductory remarks, Msgr C Francis thanked Lord Jesus for the life and gift of the tireless preacher, Brother T K George.
Fr Richard Pais, director of the Karnataka Regional Organisation for Social Service (KROSS), served as the main celebrant and delivered the homily. He enumerated the essential qualities of being a true Christian, emphasising that our ultimate goal is to stand at the altar of God like a beautiful flower. He urged the faithful to deeply commit themselves to the ministries of witnessing and proclamation. The Mass was concelebrated by Msgr C Francis, who serves as the parish priest, and Fr Franklin D'Souza.
Before the conclusion of the service, brother Mahime Raj delivered the vote of thanks. On behalf of the organisers, he expressed deep gratitude to Msgr C Francis, Fr Richard Pais, Fr Franklin D'Souza, and the St Anthony's Prayer Group of T C Palya, which is dynamically led by Lawrence Babu, for their support in making the remembrance meaningful.
The spiritual event successfully concluded at 1 pm. A fellowship lunch was subsequently served to all the attendees in honor of Brother T K George’s enduring memory and ministry.
