Ranchi, Oct 10: West Indies defeated India by six wickets in the second T20 International in Ranchi on Friday, levelling the five-match series 1-1 with a commanding chase of 250 runs.
Chasing a formidable target of 250, West Indies reached 252 for four in just 18.3 overs, winning with nine balls to spare. Captain Shai Hope led the charge with a magnificent 102 off 45 deliveries, while Sherfane Rutherford smashed 84 off 37 balls to power the visitors to victory.
Earlier, India, put in to bat, posted an imposing 249 for five in their allotted 20 overs. Sanju Samson top-scored with a blistering 82 off 41 balls, while Ishan Kishan contributed a valuable 43 off 22 deliveries.

Hope was named Player of the Match for his outstanding century, which anchored West Indies’ successful run chase and brought the series level.
The third T20 International between India and West Indies is scheduled to be played in Indore on Sunday, with the match set to begin at 7 pm.
