Panaji, Oct 10: The Goa Cabinet on Saturday approved the shifting of the water pumping station from Mirabag to Panchwadi, along with the construction of canal lines, to strengthen the local water supply system.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant announced the decision while briefing the media after the Cabinet meeting on Saturday.
The Cabinet also approved Phase II of the Tourism Master Plan and Tourism Policy, along with an ordinance to regulate recruitment and service conditions under the Goa Industrial Development Corporation (Goa-IDC).

In another decision, the Cabinet approved the creation of seven regular posts at the Zonal Agriculture Office in Sanquelim. It also cleared the transformation of Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Ltd into a state-level Urban Development Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), expanding its role in urban development initiatives across Goa.
The Cabinet further approved a 50 per cent concession on rent calculated by the Public Works Department (PWD) for existing shopkeepers relocating to newly constructed municipal commercial complexes. The concession is aimed at providing relief to traders shifting to the new premises.
The Cabinet also granted ex-post facto approval for expenditure of Rs 2.62 crore incurred on the inauguration function at Gokarna Partagali Jeevottam Math.
Additionally, amendments to the service conditions of Communidade employees were approved to establish a statutory framework governing their recruitment and service regulations.
The decisions cover water supply infrastructure, tourism planning, urban development, agricultural administration, municipal commercial facilities and the regulation of service conditions for Communidade employees.
