Kabul, Apr 14 (IANS): At least 14 Taliban militants were killed and more than 30 injured in a "clean-up" operation in Afghanistan, the interior ministry said Saturday.
Nine missions were launched since Friday by Afghan police and army, backed by NATO-led forces, in Nangarhar, Kunduz, Badakhshan, Kandahar, Ghazni, Wardak, Khost and Paktia provinces, Xinhua reported.
As many as 18 suspects were captured, the ministry said.
The Taliban did not comment.
