Gunmen Torch Health Centre in Syria


Damascus, Apr 15 (IANS): An armed group set ablaze a health centre Saturday in Syria's Latakai city, Xinhua reported.

According to Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), the fire has been controlled. No casualties were reported in the incident.

In a separate incident, an armed group attacked a civilian bus and wounded three people in the northern city of Idlib.

In southern province of Daraa, gunmen attacked a law- enforcement patrol, killing two warrant officers, the report said.

The incidents came as the UN Security Council (UNSC) is set to endorse sending international observers to Syria to monitor the truce brokered by UN-Arab League joint special envoy to Syria Kofi Annan.
