Chinese PM Vows to Rid Corruption


Beijing, Apr 15 (IANS): Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao has promised to introduce harsher measures to curb corruption in government offices.

The administration will continue to work for a "clean government and deepen reforms", Wen said in an article to be published in the Qiushi (Seeking Truth) magazine Monday.

Titled "Let the power be exercised under the sunshine", the article dwells on government achievements, reforms and corruption, Xinhua reported Sunday.

Priorities this year will be given to the reforms in the administrative examination and approval system, allocation of public resources, fiscal management system, expenditure in the government departments and enterprises, Wen said.
