China Hopes to Attract Foreign Professionals

Beijing, Apr 24 (IANS): China hopes to attract professionals from abroad by having a new visa category added to a draft law.

The new category is titled "talent introduction".

The draft law was submitted Tuesday to the standing committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislature, for its second reading, reported Xinhua.

China may also impose harsher punishments for people who enter or leave the country illegally.
