Media Release

Mangalore, Apr 25: The annual recollection for members of Legion of Mary Association of Mangalore Commitcium was held at Samanvaya Hall, Urwastores on Tuesday April 24. The theme was 'Mother Mary – Ocean of Mercy'.

President Alice Lobo welcomed all Legions gathered. After an appropriate reading from the Holy Bible by Irene Carlo,  Alice Lobo  alongwith the gathering honoured Our Lady by reciting Holy Rosary.  After a  Power Point Presentation on various roles of Mother Mary, Diocesan spiritual director, Fr Ronald Cutinha gave a meaningful and enlightening homily on the theme.  He spoke on Virgin Mary’s obedience to God’s will, her mission with Jesus, her compassion towards her faithful devotees and her role as the mediator to Jesus, in detail.

Since Fr Ronald Cutinha is going to complete his tenure as the Diocesan spiritual director of the Legion of Mary by May end, he was felicitated in gratitude for his dedicated service to the Legion with a citation and memento by the members.  Fr Cutinha accepted the compliments with all humility and thanked Legions and office bearers for their co-operation.

The gathering consisted of 105 legionaries from all over the Diocese of Mangalore.
