Doha: South Kanara Muslim Welfare Assn Blood Donation Camp Witnesses Enthusiastic Participation

The South Kanara Muslim Welfare Association (SKMWA), a well-known community association here hosted its first blood donation campaign at Hamad Medical Corporation, Blood Donors' Unit on Friday, Friday April 27. 

The association comprising of members hailing from Dakshina Kannada, and Mangalore city, is an affiliated body under Indian Cultural Centre (ICC).

The campaign which led to a noble cause attracted unexpectedly huge crowd which starting from 8.00 am, going up to 11 am.

Forum president of the association Abdulla Monu pronounced the welcome speech. Dr Mohammed Parvez, Mangalore, delivered the keynote address on donating blood, and highlighted the importance of blood donation.

The newly elected president of ICBF, Karim Abdulla, addressing the gathering, appreciated the forum for hosting such noble activities and assured all the support and help from ICB.


ICBF executive member Milan Arun, president of Karnataka Sangha Mannangi, KMCA president Saeed Assadi, joint secretary of Bunts Qatar Roshan Shetty, KMCA Toast Masters Club president Rehman Saab, Tulu Koota Qatar vice president Ashmath Ali, Ideal Indian School vice president Syed Abdul Hye, former president of Karnataka Sangha Arun Kumar, former president Tulu Koota Qatar Divakar Poojary, former president KMCA Saquib Raza Khan, senior members of Tulu Koota Qatar Seetharam Shetty and Mohan Kudla,  former vice president of ICBF Habibul Nabi, Dr Sartaj, and several prominent members and dignitaries from Indian expatriate community joined the campaign.

Members of the special needs committee of the association Mohammed Shameem and Ibrahim Byari coordinated the event.

Iqbal Manna presented the vote of thanks.
