Mumbai, May 4: Nityanand Yogashram in Kondevoor, Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka is striving to promote spiritualism with humanity. It would further get the boost by the devotees settled in the metro, in returning the debt of society, said Swami Yoganand Saraswati of Nityanand Yogashram, Kondevoor.
Swami Yoganand Saraswati was delivering a religious discourse at Nityanand auditorium, Sion (West), on Wednesday May 2. It was organized by Nityanand Yogashram (Mumbai) committee.
Swami Yoganand felicitated Dharmapal U Devadiga, president, Kondevoor temple Mumbai committee, who was conferred with the ‘Shining Image of India’ gold medal in New Delhi, recently.
Devadiga, in his presidential address, said that Nityanand Yogashram has been involved in rural development with scientific and progressive approach besides equality and secularity. “The Ashram has a worship centre, orphanage, cow-shelter, and other ongoing worthy activities. It’s the responsibility of devotees to support the cause,” he added.
Mumbai committee president Rohidas S Bangera, Bunts Sangh president chartered accountant Shankar B Shetty, Shafi Welfare Association Mumbai president lawyer B Mohiuddin Mundkoor, Bhandary Seva Sangh Mumbai president Balakrishna P Bhandary, and Sudhir R L Shetty were present on the dais.
Ayurveda Dr Ramachandra Bharati Swami, G T Acharya, Jayaprakash Shetty Kalwa, Harry R Sequeira, Babu Bangera, M G Kshirasagar, Rajesh K Ail, B N M Shetty, Vijay D Poojary, Ashok Sasihitlu, Shankar D Devadiga, Sudhakar Ucchil, Sridar Suvarna, and Sanjeev Kunjattoor, as well as a large number of devotees were present on the occasion.
Honorary secretary Nityanand D Kotian compered the programme. Joint secretary Urwa Narayan garlanded Swami Yoganand. Treasurer Harish K Chevar proposed the vote of thanks.
