Bantwal: Veteran BJP Leader Sesappa Gowda Joins JD(S)

Bantwal, May 7:
“A mega convention of the JD(S) will be organized in the home town of chief minister (CM) D V Sadanand Gowda in June with plans to include dissatisfied BJP leaders and party activists into the JD(S),” said former CM H D Kumaraswamy.
 
He was speaking during his visit to the residence of Sesappa Gowda, former president of Bantal taluk panchayat steering committee and Vittal BJP leader, after attending the Okkaligara Samavesh in Puttur on Sunday May 6.

Kumaraswamy alleged that BJP leaders are neglecting the most faithful party activists and hence, the JD(S) has been trying to woo BJP local activists into JD(S).
 
Former TP member Shalini Jain, Devaki Alike, Alike gram panchayat former president Ramayya Ballal, Divakar Das Nerlaje, Umesh Shetty Arkecharu, Chandappa Gowda Alangar, Yashwant Gowda Boligadde, T H M Abdul Aziz, Anand Shetty Boligadde, Poovappa Poojary, Veerappa Gowda, Kantappa Gowda, Eshwar Paisari, Purushottam Gowda, Victor Veigas, Bhojappa Gowda, Punit Madattaru, Krishnappa Poojary Vittal, Gopal Sapaly, Purushottam Madattaru, and Sasidar Pecchar also joined JD(S) on the occasion.
 
JD(S) district president Mohammed Kunhi, JD(S) chief secretary Vasant Poojary, district chief secretary Ram Ganesh, Bage Gowda, Puttur JD(S) leader I C Kailas, K S N Nisdwannaya, minority wing president V S Ibrahim, Jaffer Khan, town JD(S) president Ashraf, and Ashraf Mohammed Ponnottu were present.
 
Vittal JD(S) president L N Adyantaya compered the programme.
