Nepal Flood Toll Reaches 26


Kathmandu, May 9 (IANS): The toll in the Nepal's Seti river floods triggered by an avalanche in the Annapurna range has risen to 26 with police recovering more bodies Tuesday.

According to the police, the recovered bodies are yet to be identified, Xinhua reported.

About 40 people including three foreigners were still missing, said police, adding that they were trying to find them. However, chances of finding anyone alive now looks very slim.

Meanwhile, Nepal Army, Armed Police Force and Nepal police personnel are still carrying out search operation with excavators, bulldozers and sniffer dogs.
