Bangalore, May 9: The entire administrative machinery of Karnataka from the Chief Minister’s office to the Gram Panchayat level will come under the ambit of Sakala within two months, Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda said on Wednesday.

Addressing a function after inaugurating ''Kandaya Bhavan,” which houses all Revenue offices under one roof, he said about 10 lakh applications had been disposed off under Sakala, the guarantee of government services , within a month of it being extended throughout the State.

More than half the applications related to the Revenue Department and 99.79 per cent of them had been disposed of, he said.

The implementation of the scheme had brought honour to the Government, since it is not targeted for a section but helped the entire population of 6.5 crore people of Karnataka.

The Government’s focus is on introducing transparency, easy access to services and building links between officialdom, people’s representatives and citizenry, for which Sakala scheme – that promises time-bound services – is an important step, he said.

He  sought to underplay the letter written by him and State BJP President K S Eshwarappa to party national president Nitin Gadkari complaining that former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa’s loyalists were indulging in anti-party activities as ''an old issue.”

“There is nothing out of the ordinary about writing to the party’s central leadership,” he said.

He said that the letter was written more than three months ago and there was no effort to keep it under wraps.

It was reported in a section of the press on Monday that  Gowda and Eshwarappa had in a joint letter complained that six ministers – Shobha Karandlaje, M P Renukacharya, Murugesh R Nirani, Basavaraj Bommai, C M Udasi and V Somanna – had worked against the interests of the party.

    Paresh Mehta, Mulky/A'hmad,

Kannada is one of the oldest language in the world. Your Hindi and Gujarathi derived from Kannada. Your languages have taken many words and phrases from Kannada. Yours is not a language but dialect of Kannada. Start learning Kannada now, "one of the oldest languages in the world". We do not need Hindi/Gujarathi, but you need Kannada.

Learn both TULU and Kannada in Mulky. Else get last from Karnataka.

CM's body language with Somanna evident that indeed DVS asked Gadkeri to gate pass for the supporters of Yeddy.

It is a good move and if SAKALA works in it's true sense,I think BJP will score some good will of beneficiaries of SAKALA.However,Yeddy factor always a KABBINADA KADALE KAAI for DVS which makes road block for good governance.

Two back to back news clipping in the DAIJIWORLD are positive points to BJP........
