Mangalore: ‘Sorgimchem Jevann’ Konkani Hymn Album Released

Mangalore, May 12: The new liturgical hymn album ‘Sargimchem Jevann’ of Fr Walter D'Souza and Fr Maxim D'Souza of Narampady was released on Wednesday May 9 by the Archbishop of Delhi Dr Vincent Concessavo, at Narampady on the occasion of ordination of Fr Sunil Crasta of Narampady.

The album consists of 15 melodious liturgical hymns in Konkani.







The album has imprimatur from Fr Aloysius Paul D'Souza, Bishop of Mangalore and the hymns can be used for the holy mass.

Sangeet Guru Joel Periera organized orchestration for the album. It has been recorded at Rajshree Digital Studio, Calicut by Ligit and Cad Media Center, Mangalore.

All the hymns have been composed by Fr Walter and Fr Maxim. The returns of the album will be used for the new church building project of Shaktinagar parish, Mangalore.
