Mangalore: Swami Sudhindrateerta of Kashi Mutt Inaugurates ‘Rath Yatra’

Mangalore, May 15: Swami Sudhindrateerta of Kashi Mutt arrived at Venkataramana Temple, Car Street, on Sunday May 13, to initiate the ‘Vyasa Raghupati Rath Yatra that will be held on the occasion of the re-installation celebration of the temple deities of Kashi Mutt.

Swami Sudhindrateerta and his successor Swami Sayyamindrateerta offered worship for the Rath Yatra on Sunday. The Rath Yathra will cover the undivided Dakshina Kannada district in an 18 day journey and return to Venkataramana Temple on Wednesday May 30.


The re-installation ceremony of temple deities and celebrations will be held here from June 9 to June 13, 2012.

Over 1 lac devotees from across the nation are likely to take part in these religious celebrations.
