Bangalore, May 16: JSW Steel Ltd, the company accused of contributing money to the firms run by the sons of former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa and getting favours, claimed that “it has not done any illegal activity nor connected with any wrong doing.”

In a press release following the raids by the CBI on the residence and offices of Yeddyurappa and other BJP leaders following Supreme Court’s orders directing CBI probe, JSW Steel Ltd said it was confident of coming out untarnished.

“The company has full faith in the judicial process and all books are open. The company will fully co-operate with the investigating agencies,” it said.

“JSW group follows highest standards of corporate governance,” it said claiming that JSW Steel ``is in fact the victim of alleged illegal mining.”
