Udupi, May 17: Udupi district this year has topped the table in the SSLC Karnataka board examination with 89.40% results.
Sanjana Ithal of Venkatramana English Medium High School top scored in the district with 615 marks. Akshatha Nayak and Neeraj are on the second position with 614 marks out of 625. Akshatha is from the same school that of Sanjana whereas Neeraj is from TA Pai English Medium High School. The third place is again shared by two students Mayoor Mallya and Anagya Shree who scored 613 marks.

In all 8,013 boys and 8,058 girls had appeared for the exam this year. As usual, girls have outdone the boys. Altogether, 6,153 boys and 7,537 girls passed in the exam.
Last year the district had come 6th in the overall results of Karnataka SSLC board. In the year 2010 the district was in the 4th position.
