Mangalore, May 23: The alumni meet of Kannada post graduation studies and research department of city’s Government College was held on Monday May 21.
Veteran litterateur Yerya Laxminarayan Alva inaugurated the programme on Monday evening.
The head of Kannada department Dr U Maheshwari presided over the programme.
Government College vice principal Professor M Gopalan, Kannur University syndicate member Mohammed Aslam conveyed best wishes.
Professor Narayan Sharma Uppangala released ‘Sangatya’, commemorative bulletin, edited by Balakrishna Hosangady.
Professor Srinath, Pundarikaksha Kalluraya, Dr U Maheshwari, and P N Moodittaya were present.
Professor Ratnakar Mallamoole delivered the introductory address. Dr Harikrishna Bharanya welcomed the gathering and Dinesh Kedenji proposed the vote of thanks.
