Bantwal: Hayatul Islam Madrasa Students Bag Top Honours at District-Level ‘Students Fest’

Bantwal, May 23: Three students of Hayatul Islam Madrasa, under Vittal central Jumma Masjid topped the senior category of the district-level ‘Students Fest’ held recently at Kodaje, near Vittal, thereby qualifying to represent Dakshina Kannada district at the state-level Students Fest to be held in Kottayam, Kerala, from Friday May 25 to Sunday May 27.

Students from Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and other states will participate in the state-level fest.


Mohammad Ziyad, Hamza, Zaid Fazal Ponnotu

Zaheed Fazal Ponnotu, son of Kasim, a resident of Meginapete–Ponnotu, near Vittal, and Hamza, bagged the first place in announcement and story telling, while Mohammed Ziad, son of Zubair, resident of Meginapete, bagged the first place in Arabic preaching and Hifal.

The members of Vittal central Jumma Masjid Jamaat committee and teachers congratulated the achievement of these students.  The same group had topped the Vittal range Students Fest held at Nandavar in the past.
