Mangalore: Milagreans Bid Farewell to Fr Walter D'Mello

Roshan Digitals, Milagres

Mangalore, May 27: A farewell programme was organised on Sunday May 27 for Fr Walter D’Mello who has been transferred for higher studies to Rome.

It was a sad day for all Milagreans who found it hard to bid goodbye to Fr Walter. During his stint, Fr Walter helped thousands of poor people and instilled confidence among his people.

Alwyn Rosario handed over a bouquet, memento and citation to Fr Walter.

Speaking on the occasion Fr Walter said, "I am satisfied with the service I have given to Milagreans. I came with a mission I have accomplished it. “

Soon after the programme ward Gurkars offered a bouquet to Fr Walter and thanked him for his service.

Dear Fr Walter, undoubtedly you are a good priest and a Gem amongst the priests. Wherever you goes, you win the love and hearts of people of your Parish as well as neighbours. I still remember the day when you have transfered from our Parish to Manipal where we parishoners, almost the whole Parish were travelled along with you with very hard hearts. Itz very difficult to bid a farewell especially to a Priest like you who is more than a family member for each of your Parishoners. Wish you all the best dear Fr for your forthcoming studies and wish a pleasant stay at Rome.
