Mangalore: George Fernandes Vichara Vedike to Organize Seminar on Jun 4

Mangalore, Jun 2:
The city-based George Fernandes Vichara Vedike will be organizing a seminar on George Fernandes, on the occasion of the 82nd birthday celebration of former union minister, trade unionist, and Mangalorean George Fernandes at Town Hall, on Monday June 4.
 
Janata Dal (United) Karnataka president Dr M P Nada Gowda will inaugurate the seminar at 4.00 pm on Monday.
 
Manipal Academy of Higher Education former vice-chancellor Dr B M Hegde will preside over the programme.
 
MLA and legislative assembly speaker Yogish Bhat, trade unionist and former MLC Michael B Fernandes, former Karnataka minister B Somashekar, former MLA J C Madhu Swamy, Jayasrikrishna Parisara Premi Samiti president Tonse Jayakrishna Shetty and Nitte Educational Trust chairman N Vinay Hegde will be the chief guests on the occasion.
 
City veteran lawyer and notary Clarence Pais, JD(S) leader Mohammed Kunhi, entrepreneur Satish Baikampady, lawyer J J V Fernandes, naval retired Commander Pereira, and entrepreneur Nazir Ullal will be the other guests.
 
Srinivas Group of Colleges vice-president A Srinivas Rao, ‘Issues and Concerns’ journal editor Jayaram Sriyan, Udupi Railway Yatri Sangh president R L Dias, and Mangalore Bar Association president S P Chanagappa will be the key speakers at the seminar.
