Pilot Dies in Czech Plane Crash


Warsaw, Jun 11 (IANS/RIA Novosti): A training aircraft's pilot died and a passenger was seriously injured after the machine crashed in Czechia, according to Czech news agency CTK.

The former military aircraft -- L-29 -- was owned by Aviation Technologies and Services company crashed 300 metres from an airport in Ceradice na Lounsku.

"The aircraft L-29 was flying at low altitude, while it was falling it turned over, the tail of the plane broke off," it reported.

The pilot died at the crash site while a 30-year old passenger was hospitalised to a burn centre in Prague.
